Ranna is the first of the Nine Bright Shiners. In The Beginning, Ranna became part of the Charter as the Wall and the Great Charter Stones, along with Belgaer. As a bell, Ranna is the Sleeper, who brings sleep to those who hear it. It was wielded by Torrigan at the binding of Orannis.
