Dyrim is the fourth of the Nine Bright Shiners. In The Beginning, Dyrim became part of the Charter as the Wall and the Great Charter Stones, along with Belgaer. As a bell, Dyrim is the Speaker, who allows speech or makes things mute. It was wielded by Ellimere at the binding of Orannis.
Trivia
- Dyrim is only used once in the Old Kingdom series, excluding Orannis' binding, when Sabriel uses it on her father's sending to allow it to instruct her.
